Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far, I've only couch surfed a few times around Europe during my year abroad in England. I loved it! I loved being able to see the way the locals live their lives.
Because I live at home, I'm currently unable to host, but I look forward to the day when I'll be able to offer up my couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My favourite experience was my stay in Faro, Portugal. From frolicking on the beach with my hosts dogs, to watching the "football" game in a local restaurant packed with heated supporters, it was a wonderful, welcoming experience.

Interests

My favourite things include, but are not limited to: reading, crafts, cheese, theatre, design, volleyball, people watching, napping, baseball, exploring, falafels, free admission to things, and tea.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I learned to surf in the North Sea in April. It was freezing and I use the term loosely; it was mostly me flailing about in the water in close proximity to a surfboard for a few hours.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm starting to learn American Sign Language and hope to become fluent. I'd love to learn from another ASL speaker and would also love to share my slowly expanding knowledge of the language.

I'd also love to practise my French. I might want to live in Quebec someday and it needs a fair bit of work.

I'm also starting to become more interested in needlework and crafting. I'd love to learn/create with people from all over.
