About Me
Portuguese girl currently living in England. I'm having some time off between jobs in January so I will tick off one of my biggest dreams- visit Australia! I will be backpacking for about 2 months and a half so hope to meet some of you along the way :)
I'm very easy going and came to the realization that I hate to plan too much ahead lol so this trip will definitely be a challenge. On the flipside, I think the spontaneity can pay off at times as I'm almost always down for any last minute invitation!
Things that make me happy: being nearby the sea, eating pad Thai, doing origamis, listening to Ziggy Albert's, being with my friends
If you know the lyrics of the song 'Stacy's mom' we are more likely to get along lol! And if you want to have a friend for life, sing it with me in the karaoke haha
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Love to meet new people and learn about new cultures so this app is great for that. However, what I like the most about this platform is that it makes it easier to meet locals and get to experience the true essence of any given city which is often quite difficult when you're trapped in the tourist bubble
Music, Movies, and Books
According to Spotify I am "genre fluid. You refused to let one sound define you" and definitely a world citizen as I've listened to artists from 61 countries. So basically anything as long as it sounds and makes me feel good. Favorite singers: Ziggy Alberts, Khalid, Vance Joy, John Mayer, and Jack Johnson.
This being said, I'm most known for enjoying to listen ABBA in the lab, randomly knowing the lyrics of laissez moi danser by Dalida (French people will understand lol), and for my 80s playlist in roadtrips.
I spend lots of time listening to music so any recommendations of bands/singers that you like will be much appreciated!
Movies: Amelie, Chocolat, pulp fiction, dirty dancing, all ghibli movies, kubo, lion king
Books: Packing for Mars: The Curious Science of Life in the Void, Steve Jobs, After the Prophet: The Epic Story of the Shia-Sunni Split in Islam. The list of books to read will always be considerably bigger than the ones I actually read lol
Podcasts: No such a thing as a fish, stuff you should know
