About Me
Hey!
I'm Carmel. A weird, quirky, fun loving girl currently residing in the Netherlands. I wanted to do sth different with my life and now I've ended up doing the same thing like everyone else - going to uni. That's why I need to keep my life interesting and what better way there would be than meeting new people!?
I'm an adventurous person with big dreams and a sense of humor that most people find laughable.
Currently I'm living in a dorm, so I might not be able to host you but to grab a drink and/or show around the town - I'm always available for that :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like meeting new people and hear about their lives, experiences, ideas, points of views on the meaning of life- that's always an interesting topic and get the inside info about their culture.
Interests
I'm interested in people's behaviour, reading, taking photos with my dad's analog camera, painting/drawing (although I suck at it), sharing ideas and having a good conversation with people from different fields & backgrounds, make everyone I talk to smile at least once (it can even be because I said sth funny or just embarrassed myself in a comedic way).

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen all kinds of music from 80's pop to 90's alternative rock to nowadays electronic music. It just depends on sth that I haven't figured out yet :D
But my all time favourite song is Porcelain by Moby :)
A movie I can watch everyday:
The Beach (book is better)- after watching this I wasn't the girl who traveled with her mom to different resorts by the Mediterranean sea (although we stayed at the cheapest hotels, stayed away from guided tours and didn't spend a week at the beach but discovered the country). I became a woman who bought a bus ticket at the last minute to a other country, found a hostel there while carrying a huge backpack and met strangers while not being afraid to do it alone at all.
Books by the authors like Salinger, GRRM, Garland and some random books of poetry.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
On my 18th birthday I didn't want to celebrate it like everyone else I knew had done. Instead of doing that (huge party, lots of alcohol and so on) I went to another country, stayed at a hostel, met new/interesting people and had wonderful time with them. It was the best weekend of my life- discovering a new city with myself and some strangers I had met :)
