About Me
The adventures of Carmen and Kevin
It has now been three years since my supposed holiday, during this time New Mexico has become a place to call home. This place has given me room to grow up, experience life, and brought some of the most amazing people my way. All things must come to an end. It’s with a heavy heart the time has come to pack my rucksack once again and hit the road in search of another adventure.
This time one is two, and our adventures are many. Kevin and I are delving into the depths of an all American road trip via a dip into Mexican boarders. This one is going to be one to remember, and I can only hope that Cuchsurfers will be there with us for the ride.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There are so many people, places. cultures and traditions in this world. I want to immerse myself within its depths and explore everything. I want to meet new people, learn new skills, teach new things hear new stories.
I generally am a fairly reserved person, quite shy I guess...I just turned 30 and I need to push myself to get more involved in life. I have been a member of couchsurfers for a long time, but never had the house arrangement suitable for hosting, or the courage to ask to stay as a surfer myself. This year it’s all gonna happen, feet first, here goes nothin’!
Interests
I enjoy playing guitar, I love design, making art..if I am making I am happy. I love photography. I enjoy cooking, but I’m terrible at following recipes. I love being in water. Also I’m weirdly obsessed with the rain. It is my most loved weather in all the land.
Here are just a few more things I love. I love blazers with hoodies, earl gray with honey, gravity blankets, learning the first riff to lots of different songs, soft blankets while reading, red gummy bears, and sculpting tiny faces in clay.
I am very creative so am generally always working my way towards some kind of creation. I like riding bikes around suburbs...(which I very rarely do, but I love it when I do it) I love love love going to see bands.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: The list is extensive and eclectic and far too long to fit on this here page. A selection of my favorite genres are:
Tom Waits ...he is his own genre. Mr Waits is a madman who deserves no less!
Delta blues, folk rock, bluegrass, punk, grunge just to start ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can show you how to roll sushi, or roll sushi for you, I can cook, clean, serenade you with my strings. Talk about nothing and everything all at the same time. I can show you how to build a canvas or how to make a table out of anything. I can teach you one trick on the zippo, or how to ollie on a skateboard. I know how to make a roof out of tarps, felt a small bear, and milk a cow...I have a large inventory or random skills that might come in handy given the right circumstance...
If there’s a chance I can learn something new to add to my repertoire I’m all in!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can bring food, wine or beer, stories, music. I can share laughter and sunshine, and endless nonsense.
If I have it, I will share it.
