About Me
Hallo, hola, hi and salut!
I am Carmen, 22 years old and I do come from southern Germany! Yes, exactly as you would imagine it...lots of green gras, mountains, cows and a super small village where you know two thirds of the people by name. But as you all know: We do have the best beer! Since two years I moved to Augsburg to finally be super independent from my parents to study a major with the very complicated name: Applied Intercultural Linguistics.
In general I am a very opened and communicative type of person. Whenever my friends and I get lost in a city (only one time on my last NYC trip...yes I was quite impressed myself too) they come up with "Carmen, can you ask somebody for the way please?", because they know that I really like talking to strangers and I often have such interesting conversations with people I just met on the street, at starbucks, in the gym...
I just can't wait to have a little chat with you guys!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I first tried Couchsurfing in 2015 on a road trip through Arizona and had an amazing time mainly due to our fantastic hosts! Through that experience I was sure, that I never ever want to travel in any other way. The genuine kindness of these people give you the feeling, that the world isn't such a bad place after all.

Music, Movies, and Books
Where should I start here?
The best stragedy maybe is to keep it short and compact.
Music: A lot of Indie.
I do also listen to a fair amount of 60s, 70s, 80s and I especially do love listening to everything my record player plays. (I was kind of born in the wrong generation.)
My most favorite music when partying though is definitely Techno and House!
Books: There's no words how much I love the book "the Alchimist" by Paulo Coelho! In my opinion one of the best books ever written.
Movies: It's all about documentaries...about anything. Jelly fish, any other kind of animal (David Attenborough preferred) or whatever youtube offers me.
But other than that I think any movie which contains only a little bit of Ryan Gosling is just a must-see! :D
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Some time ago, I had to do a speech in front of 500 people, one of them was the bavarian Education Minister. Yes as you can imagine, I was just "a little" nervous. But on top of that, I had to wear a red dwarfs hat. Just don't ask why :D
