Hello out there!
Here are some things about me that may give you a feeling of how I am.

Why I am traveling... :
I have been living in mostly affluent, comfortable parts of the world which, despite being wonderful and abundant and safe, feel like it lacks connection and human-ness for me. I find it easier to meet people, allow spontaneity to do its wonders and end up in places I wouldn't have thought I'd find myself in when I'm out of my usual daily circumstances. I enjoy getting my sometimes unconscious prejudices shaken up and I've found that traveling has humbled me in the best possible ways. I enjoy meeting other humans with different perspectives on Life or just from a different cultural background and immerse myself in a culture.
My favorite ways of moving around are by train, bus, hitchikking and cycling when possible (+walking).
Some things I enjoy:
Music. I love to listen and I enjoy singing with others. I can play a little bit of guitar but badly.
I love spending time outside in Nature. Hiking, helping on a farm, gardening... it just feels very good for my mind and body.
Drawing/painting. I've also been doing a bit of stick and poke tattooing in the past couple of years.
Dancing, poetry, reading, crochet and crafts, learning about herbalism are other things I love... and then I am always curious to hear about other people's passions, whatever they are!

Something to know.. I sometimes need some physical time and space alone. I enjoy some time to be still and contemplative 😊

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to discover a place through the eyes of a local. I find this has led through the best experiences and great encounters in my life. Random is great!
In general, I prefer a 'slow travel' style to the usual quick sightseeing. I enjoy participating in the daily life of a family or host and travel through their eyes and minds. I prefer an exchange with others instead of touristic consuming.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love pretty much all sort of music and love to discover new genres. Favorite would be any kind of live music.
Books... my favorite would be one of Ursula Leguin's books. Then, I don't know! I love reading though.
I don't watch a lot of movies but I like something about Nature and/or our human-ness. Something heart-warming. Can't handle suspense or horror movies 😅

Practically I love to learn new skills and try things I've never done before. Oh and I love to learn the local language wherever I am!

I'm a professional gardener at home and I'm happy to help with any gardening tasks you'd like help with or some advice with. I'm super passionate about plants and ecosystems so I'm always keen to learn and share. Same with herbalism !

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to share meals and warm conversations. I can cook a meal, I'm happy to do your shopping and help taking care of kids.
I enjoy drawing so this is something we could do together.. and I might be able to do a small tattoo for you if I have my supplies with me.
Just the simplicity of being human and vulnerable with each other.
