COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've not been on the couchsurfing network for years, but I'm glad to be back and I am hoping to host (while I'm somewhat rooted) and couchsurf myself in the coming years.

I love almost all genres of music, especially anything instrumental, however. I've been reading some great books recently, most of them non-fiction about places in the world I know little about. One that really stood out for me was "Something Fierce" by Carmen Aguirre. Another is "Half of a Yellow Sun" by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (actually a fiction, but about the Biafran war).

Spent 3 months in an isolated northern field camp (James Bay) learning all the native species of plant, bird, mammal, fish, fungus... etc.

I know a few things about the natural world, a few things about cooking and a bit of guitar-playing. I would love to learn anything musical, culinary, or about the sociopolitics of any part of the world. Sharing ideas and good times is what I'm always hoping for.
