About Me

CURRENT MISSION

maintaining internal and external awareness at the same time.
re-structuring my cognitive patterns, perception and self-narrative.
integrating more moments of play in my life

ABOUT ME
Since I'm experimenting with new self-narratives, I decided to give a different self-presentation that I normally would do with factual life story.

It has recently stroked me how big role aesthetics play in my life. I can get really fascinated by experiencing an interesting light, composition, gesture, mimic, sentence. I guess that is why I am addicted to art and that is why I chose a profession that seeks beauty and resources in people.
I can get especially nerdy about observing the way people use their body and to examine their muscular tensions (through e.g. massage).

Another thing I've been quite curious about lately is establishing contact through immediacy. By this I mean to interact based on a high sensitivity about what is happening around and inside you rather than repeating safe patterns or executing politeness. Like gazing together at the moving plate of an electro meter or dancing your way up the stairs. But also, actually asking the questions you are really interested at. Things that suddenly come to your mind or that surprise you. You can get really good and true contact out of that in my experience.

More seemingly random albeit maybe more down-to-earth note: I have realized that I have relatively many "party pictures" on my profile that might give the impression that I am often drunk/high/trippy etc. Since trust is a key element in couchsurfing, I hereby would like to state that I am very very rarely under the influence of any stuff, not that I'm against people taking them, I just think it is much more interesting for me to pass beyond my barriers consciously. Plus I like to be able to dance and do acrobatics at whatever time. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

PRACTICAL INFO
I used to share my profile with a guy who was my boyfriend at that time and with whom I lived together and often traveled together with. Therefore you can see references about him as well. As soon as he creates his own profile I will share the link here so you can also check him out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
See the references I wrote about the people I met through couchsurfing and then you will understand why I am on couchsurfing. ;)
But some highlights:
- I was quite active in the couchsurfing community in Montevideo, going to their weekly meetings and hanging out with people I got to know there. It opened up a lot of things for me and I got to make real friends. I feel much more part of the couchsurfing community and spirit now.
- I love the fact that no matter where I am, I can always go to a couchsurfing meeting and feel welcomed and sort of at home, like what happened to me when visiting a friend in Edinburgh.
- I got to know one of my best friends through couchsurfing out of sort of a random impulse since he had just created his profile and it was almost empty when he asked urgently for an place to stay. That was one of my best irrational decisions. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

My profession consists of elements from physical training, relaxation techniques, therapeutic talk, manual therapy ("massage" ), dance therapy, birth/pregnancy preparation, ergotherapy and child development. So I can share/apply tools and knowledge in these fields.
Generally I can contribute with active listening and the ability to contain others' emotions.
I've been doing contact improv for some years, also some performance composition if you are into that.
I have some experience in getting EU funds for projects.
I think I have a good grasp of art history and social constructivism.
