I describe myself as an uncomplicated, easy going, flexible, open minded, creative, active, adventurous person with a good sense of humour.
I like to experience new things and to visit places I haven't been before. So I like travelling and meeting people from different countries as it broadens the horizon.

I have a positive mindset. I always try to accept things the way they are and try to make the best out of any situation.
I love nature and animals as these are the most precious things we have. I am a passionate diver and I love the oceans. Fish and other marine life are in danger and therefore I eat nothing that comes from the ocean.
I am a scientist and a non-believer but I believe that threre are guardian angels :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been travelling for quite some time. I'm mostly on my own as my partner isn't able to join all the time. I have travelled in the past and most time I had some company. I got to know a lot of people on my trips and we shared experiences. I mostly stayed in hostels but also in private accommodation. It was always a great experience to spend time with local people, to listen to their stories, to learn something about their lives and cultures and also to get tips and information about things to do and to see. I not only would like to visit interesting places but also I would like to interact with people living there as it makes things special.
I don't usually couchsurf for a single night because that doesn't give me enough time to interact with my host. I prefer a stay at least two nights so there's a chance to hang out. I can be on my own and look after myself but I like to have company to have a good time and to share what ever is worth sharing.
I made only great experiences so far and I'm still in touch with some guys that hosted me.

Interests

I have a lot of interests. I love travelling and diving. Usually I have my dive gear with me when I am travelling. I love the underwater world as it is so beautiful and amazing. I like nature in general and protecting wildlife and its habitat is important to me. As I mentioned before, I love animals. I love being outside and among my hobbies are not only hiking and mountain biking but also things like gardening or reading a book in the sunshine. When ever I have time I create fotobooks of holiday pictures. Another passion of mine are reptiles... I keep snakes as pets and its another hobby of me to build and design their enclosures. I'm sporty and I go to gym or mountain biking when I have time. I'm interested in MotoGP and ice hockey. I love eating and like cooking... and I like drinking a glass of wine (or two) with the meal or/and afterwards.

Music, Movies, and Books

Listen to almost any kind of music but my favourite type is metal.
I like reading, mostly crime, sometimes fantasy.
I watch mostly action movies, sometimes comedy and fantasy.
I don't have a favourite band and book but I do have a favourite movie: Pulp Fiction. Apart of that, I am a fan of 007 James Bond.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most impressive things I experienced in my life was meeting the gentle, friendly and peaceful grey whales in Laguna San Ignacio in Mexico.
Diving Palau... clean waters with healthy reefs and full of fish and lots if sharks. No pollution and no overfishing. A place where conservation pays off.
