Heyy, I'm Carmen, I'm from Ireland, I love to travel but haven't been able to afford to do too much while I was living in England and going to University. I've been saving for the last year in anticipation of a year travelling in Central and South America, I'm currently learning Spanish, saving, and trying to plan. I adore cooking, and I love to try food of all different kinds; I also sing, write music, and am an artist whenever I have the opportunity outside of work. I think there are a lot of different ways to enjoy life and I'm open to almost all of them, I'm always happy to try new things!

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

I'm on couchsurfing because I love meeting people from different places and cultures and I would to speak to and/or have plans to meet with people in Latin America or travelling around it. I'd love to meet some people and just have a chat, enjoy the craic and have a good time! I'm new to using couchsurfing because I haven't had much money in the last few years to travel but finally have to time to do it and have been anticipating using this website properly for a while!!

Cooking is a loving pass-time, I like to get experimental up in the kitchen, I lovve trying new food, will try absolutely anything once, and I think that's a good way to live life too!
I love to go out and have a spontaneous boogie, it's always uplifting, the less you care what you look like, the better!
When I have time I like to hike mountains, getting into nature really chills me out, so I get out for walks in nature when I can.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

Love some good movie watching, particularly enjoy a good soundtrack and some slick filming/visuals - Tarantino classics, Clockwork Orange, Eraserhead, Pan's Labrinth... plus many others.
I listen to a lot of different music, love listening to new types but to name a few: Funk, Ska, Rock, Dub, Reggae, Jazz... Always love listening to live music, it's the best way! Having a boogie is something I love, it's always good to have a dance to some great music.

I am always so interested in other what other people have to say about their lives, their experiences and their culture. I also love learning language if that's ever an option, I also try to pick up at least a few phrases wherever I go, though I'm hoping to learn as much Spanish as physically possible before I go to Central & South America. I know very little Irish but what I do know I'm happy to share, I have some experience teaching English if that's any help to anyone, as I have said I'm always happy to cook and if there is any task around your home you feel you could instruct me on how to do, I am always happy to get my hands dirty.

I can teach a little little bit of Irish to people if they'd like to learn, can share experiences of growing up in Ireland and the things I've seen travelling and staying with family abroad!
