ABOUT ME

More than anything I love making friends and sharing adventures.

I'm friendly, considerate, and curious. I love engaging in good conversations and finding out what makes people tick and finding beautiful, strange hidden places in my neighborhood or abroad.
I hope to take trips all over to meet interesting people and seek out sometimes breath taking, sometimes tantalizing, sometimes overwhelming, sometimes down right ridiculous places in the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Compassion, gratitude, simplicity, perspective, sharing, personal evolution...I value these traits and apply them to my life as best as I can.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I cannot host because I live in a community house, but I am happy to organize meetups in Asheville or show folks around our beautiful city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In Asheville I have met several couch surfers for a walk through town or for a beer. When I lived in San Antonio I had a very tight crew of CSers and we did frequent meetups with Austin, Laredo, and Houston groups. When I travel or live somewhere new, CSers are the first tribe I seek out for companionship. Some of my most enduring friendships are with CS friends from all over the world.

Interests

...Cooking with lots of spices and vegetables, hiking, running, DANCING, reading, taking walks, sharing a drink or some dinner with my amazing friends, crossword puzzles, making popcorn, fermenting vegetables, plant walks, meeting interesting new people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent four weeks on motorcycle traversing the waaaaay far out hidden corners of Bolivia. I ate fresh piranha, crashed in the jungle, slept on an overturned boat, and hiked to a hidden oasis to swim with colorful fish. I want to go back!

Teach, Learn, Share

Give: Teach me how to prepare your favorite dish that reminds you of home. Share your list of the top 5 favorite books, podcasts, travel destinations, or whatever of all time. Correct my ever evolving Spanish or teach me a new dance. Know how to weave? I wanna learn!

Take: Learn some of the local plants and their medicinal properties. Learn some Spanish! Have a list of my top 5 favorite books, podcasts, etc. of all time. If you like house music I've got you covered... I'll give you some Ethiopian spice (my very favorite secret ingredient)and teach you how to use it!
