About Me

Me - that includes my beautiful family of now 4, an interesting mix of Latin American and European culture.

We are conscient about nature and social issues and so we teach out children (as well as we learn from them). In order to make the world a bit better place to live, we try to avoid plastic as far as possible, we love second hand things and flea markets, we are into gardening, and ultimately we try more and more Do-It-Yourself-stuff, to get a bit more independent of consuming industrial products from ethically mostly incorrect production. My daughter and I are vegetarians.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Currently we are thinking about a larger journey in 2020 all together as a family to widen our horizons, learn and share with other interesting people so we hope to find some useful support and advice here.

In the past, I met a few people here I don't want to miss in my life any more.

Interests

culture(s), landscapes with water and/or mountains, buildings (studied architecture), dancing (I know a bit of flamenco and tango argentino), sustainability, permaculture, consume reduction, healthy lifestyle and the search for independence and freedom in its maximum expression, what ever that might mean :)

Music, Movies, and Books

music: a little bit of everything, especially rock music (British, Latin American, or also Celtic), my favourites are the argentinian Gustavo Cerati/Soda Sterero and also the Spanish group Heroes of Silencio, but depending of the mood I can listen to almost every style!

books: some of the works of Paulo Coelho, Mario Vargas Llosa, Stephen King ... Not really one particular style or author, currently I'm a bit into historical novels

films: Quentin Tarantino, Tim Burton, Stanley Kubrik (there are a lot I have seen and liked but I have no memory for films)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A lot, but the most life-changing ones were definitely

- become a mother
- Camino de Santiago in 2009

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything about sustainable lifestyle, waste reduction, permaculture, alternative societies are topics that I'm really interested in and I'd love to share ideas and experiences.

I can also teach some basics about yoga, flamenco and tango argentino, as well as I am open to learn about the same things!
I know about baking vegan cakes and cupcakes and decorating them.

I'd love to learn more about artesanal subjects, like modelling clay, sewing or knitting, felting stuff, also great activities for the kids (at least my big daughter)
