About Me

Please read profile before submitting request to stay.

I moved to Uruguay in 2015 to help start a campus ministry called La Ruta, in which we try to create a safe and loving environment for college students of all backgrounds and beliefs based in our belief in Jesus and the love that he has for all people.

I recently moved back to the U.S. to take some classes at Emmanuel Christian Seminary and started a job in the Migrant Education Program with a great non profit called Conexion Americas.

I love to read and learn things, especially when related to the human body or science. I love to learn about cultures through people and their stories and experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to learn more about my surroundings and explore outside of where I live. I also love getting a more local experience, learning about a place and culture by talking to people who live their and hearing their stories, perspectives and experiences. It is much more informative than just reading a magazine article or watching a program on National Geographic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I helped birth a baby cow when I visited a friend's family at their dairy farm. It got stuck so we had to tie a rope around it and yank it out.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach from my life experience and things I've learned, which include being a Christian, a lesbian, an engineer, a North American who moved abroad to Uruguay and has learned a second language and culture.

I like learning from other people's stories and experiences. Even if its not something I have personal natural interest in, whenever someone loves what they do and is passionate about, I love listening to them and learning about it and understanding why they care so much about it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My story, recipes I know how to cook, I can play some songs on guitar and sing, Mate, good conversation
