About Me
CURRENT MISSION
......Live in the now.... do what I can do for now...and meet as many people and listen to their stories along the way... its the cultures and the people what I enjoy most..
ABOUT ME
Always keen to see and meet a new face...my reply rating is pretty average on paper but generally my CS have been contacting me via text..come stay we'll shout you a beer have a chat and show you the bright industry lights of G'Stone..
Traveller not a tourist..enjoy cheap white wine and good company, cruisy tunes or the disco beats..have a certain zest about life -creative/independent/tidy/chatty/organised - and enjoy new company..
I spent a year hitch hiking and enjoying the views of Central / Eastern Europe...Found myself back in Australia trying to work on a Career and upon being made redundant went and lived in Thailand for 6 months...and here I am again..starting over again...earning some coin and dreaming of the next journey..
I don't think I really understood travelling until I set sail on the Europa adventure...I realised I am not about seeing the monuments and hit lists of travel books but about meeting the real people, seeing those little villages in between... the culture...never plan just have ideas as you will never know where the wind could take you?
PHILOSOPHY
love to learn from each and every person I meet..everyone has a story, we just have to listen...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have only just joined Couch Surfers but have being a member of Hospitality Club (HC) for a couple of years, which is the same philosphy... I travelled and stayed with many interesting people through HC, I have tried to repay the favour as often as I can....
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Its an excellent opportunity to discover the real town/city... meet the real people, discover experiences off the beaten track... its the unknown - you never know who you are going to meet or what you are going to do...and maybe end up... you learn of new places that aren't listed in the travel books!
I love it and encourage anyone to experience it!
Interests
i love to bust out the creative juices on my sewing machine, hunt for anything retro at the flea markets and op shops or the dump a hidden goldmine to the naked eye... im inspired by those musically talented and wish i could pull it off too...live music, music festivals, camping adventures, dinner parties, picnics with a good crew, pois/devil sticks/juggling - call me a beginner, i love a glass of sweet white wine or tea to sit and ponder, worry, dream the day away... I am a chatter and think that the best thing my parents gave me other than my life is independence!
travelling of course, the people you meet, the randomness, the beautiful faces, adaptability, smells, architecture, nature of a culture and place.... lets face it... roads were made to be travelled! Travelling generally touches all of our senses!
