ABOUT ME

So here is what they ask when you create your profile...

"If we asked your best friends about you, what kinds of things would they say?"

So I did ask :)
-Catou?

"Caro, is an energy bomb, a go-getter and an endless source of crazy stories and pure laughters. Her curiosity, optimism and humility make her REAL and make you want to be her bestfriend (haha, I can say that I am! suckers!) With Caro, a good party always includes choreographies in the living room and a costume theme... but also deep conversation of life philosophies in the kitchen!
After Australia and Vancouver, it's Montreal's turn to be honoured by her presence! When she got here, even the winter got warmer. She works in tourism, selling a packaged dreams to rich and insecure clients, but when SHE's the traveler, it's another story - couchsurfing style!
Do take the chance to meet her; your only regret will be not being able to keep her!"

I hope what she says is right... hehe!

-- Little update since this wonderful description --

I quit Montreal in December 2013 to travel the world. I will go back there, that's for sure. I love discovering new cultures, philosophy and ways of life. It's so good when you feel fully immerged in a different culture, you see things from a different point of view and learn a lot from it. I like to confront myself and change my way of thinking or living after discovering that it works better this way. My 4 months in India really fulfilled this need but I want to continue and learn more!

I moved to the Democratic Republic of Congo in July 2015 and will stay in Lubumbashi for about 3 to 4 years. I learned how to like this new place called home and I am now fully happy.

PHILOSOPHY

"Dans vingt ans tu seras plus déçu par les choses que tu n'as pas faîtes que par celles que tu as faites, alors largue les amarres, va naviguer loin du port tranquille, prend les alizées dans tes voiles. Explore. Rêve.
Mark Twain.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I Joined this community more than 2 years ago and I am from a CouchSurfing group of friends who have kept on proving to me that amazing people can be from the same community!! :) :). I have been using this crazy network in Mexico and in Montreal by hosting people from all over the world. If not hosting just taking them around in Montréal. I recently used Couchsurfing for my 4 months trip in India and it was just... amaizing! No way this journey would have been the same without Couchsurfing!

Looking forward to continue this and meeting more interesting people and travellers!

Interests

Everything grabs my attention! :)
Easily amazed and entertained by simple things, I also love to experience and try new stuff. I always try to push myself a little further, step out of my comfort zone.
Curious, motivated, energetic. I am up for any crazy adventure!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first time I tested freedom in Vancouver...

Me: a 22 years old young graduated little frenchy girl, who had never lived outside my family home, never worked, never really travelled and here I was, by myself, sitting in a coffee shop downtown Vancouver after a night of jetlag and panic, realizing suddenly that today is the day I can be whoever I want in a gorgeous city surrounded by mountains and the sea.
Best feeling ever so far!

From that moment, it’s only gotten better!

I’d love to list all the amazing moments and things I have seen and done since then, with the same intensity, but the text box would never be big enough! ;P
I will tell you all about it when we meet! :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Colombia, India, Mexico, Morocco, Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States
