living just 15 minutes from Gezi Park afforded me a unique opportunity to participate in protesting/ saving the park from becoming another shopping mall. This experience taught me to never fear the police, understand how water canon's work, and how to a remediate the effects of tear/pepper gas with household items like lemon and malox...
