About Me

Was born in Concepción, grew up in La Serena, and now its been 15 years since I live in Santiago. I came here all by myself when I was only 17, so it's been quite a journey! I studied journalism, and though I've worked as one in several companies I'm focusing more on my writing right now, going to workshops for over a year. One of my favorite things to do, is to read. Also, I love to hang out with friends, walk around the city, going to art shows,to the park, have a glass of good wine, going to concerts... and sleeping late on the weekends after a good party :)

I surround myself with open minded people, ones that may think different than me, but are as I am open to new realities and points of view.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is made of moments... So enjoy the good ones you have. They'll stay with you forever.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined in CS hoping to meet new people around the world, I love to meet new cultures. Unfortunately I haven't been able to host as much as I would want to, haven't been lucky with the dates :(

I've never been a couchsurfer myself, but I did host a couchsurfer from Argentina and we had a great time!

Music, Movies, and Books

I think my favorite book of all time has to be A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole, I've never laughed so hard reading, Toole is a genius and Ignatius is such a weird but lovable character, I would read it 100 times more. Some of my favorite writers are Siri Hustvedt, Paul Auster, Julio Cortázar, Jack Kreouac, Anais Nin, Michel Houellebecq.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In South Africa me and my family went in three safaris: daybreak, noon, and night. We stayed in a lodge inside the Kruger Park for three nights. Seeing all those animals in their natural state was priceless... Also having breakfast with elephants in the river just meters away, and trying to fall asleep with baboons on your roof and wild pigs on your window!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, France, Mexico, Netherlands, Peru, South Africa, Spain, United States
