About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Fly to the moon

ABOUT ME

Ten facts about me.

1. I've been told I sound like a Californian cheerleader more than a couple of times. I've never been told I look like one (I don't know whether to weep or rejoice).

2. I am brutally honest. Meaning I can come across as incredibly sweet or incredibly nasty. Either way, I usually have a good excuse as to why.

3. It's hard for me to find the right balance between work and leisure. It's either I work to near exhaustion or I rest to near boredom.

4. I love sitting down in random places with great views, usually with a book. I can't lie down in grassy areas though (I still try it sometimes). Too itchy.

5. Starbucks over Coffee Bean. Burger King over McD's. Jjambbong over Jjajangmyeon. Sprite over Coke. Vanilla ice cream over chocolate ice cream. You get the picture.

6. As weird as this may sound, I don't sweat unless it's all over the news that we are to experience record heat. Luckily, I can have my coffee hot even on the hottest days of summer.

7. I've never had to go to a hospital (unless it was for a particular reason). Never in my life have I broke a bone or caught anything deadly.

8. The stupidest thing I've ever done drunk was setting my hair on fire. Thank god my friend put it out before it burned more than a couple of strands.

9. Speaking of the Almighty, I grew up in a Christian family. I don't consider myself to be religious though.

10.I normally wake up at 5 or 6 a.m. and go to bed around 10 p.m. Totally army style.

PHILOSOPHY

Shit happens. Don't sulk, feeling sorry for yourself but ask yourself what you're going to do about it.

Try to love life and everything it offers you.

Relax. And don't forget to breathe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm going to try out meeting new friends through CS first and depending on how well those acquaintances go, I'll make my next step from there! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:
Forrest Gump, V for Vendetta, Sound of Music, Ratatouille, Sex and the City, The Silence of the Lambs, The Cliffhanger, Apollo 13, Nell, The 3 Idiots, and so much more!

Music:
Kelly Clarkson, Gavin Degraw, Rihanna, Sweetbox, etc.
My favorite songs right now are Chariot - Gavin Degraw, Dancing in the Moonlight - Toploader, Try - Asher Book, and Terrified - Katharine Mcphee.

Books:
Oh my, where do I start. Or more like, where do I stop. I LOVE BOOKS PERIOD. My favorite book has been and will always be Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery. I'm finishing off Super Freakonomics by Levitt and Dubner at the moment (Interesting facts but I liked the first book better). I think I'm going to read either The Hunger Games or The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest next.

I also like watching sports, in particular basketball and volleyball. I haven't been to a football game yet but I have a feeling that I'll end up adding the sport to my list as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Applying to law school.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English (I've been teaching it to young and old for the past 8 years...) and Korean! :)

I guess I could use a few (maybe more than a few) cooking lessons. Also, I've always wanted to play the guitar!

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Laos, Turkey, United States
