About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to celebrate life! Right now I'm travelling centralamerica and México. Next stop USA.

ABOUT ME

My name is Carol, I'm 25 and I just finished my Tourism and Leisure Degree in Tarragona (near Barcelona).
I like photography, the ocean (love snorkeling!), the nature and aaaaaall the animals you can think of! (except for spiders, they kind of freak me out!).
I love partying, since my home town is a very popular destination for party-vacations!
I love hanging out with my friends and getting to know people from other places. I am myself a bit of a mix of cultures (a bit of a catalan, a bit of a spaniard and a bit of a chilean).
The most important people in my life are my family (my parents and my younger siblings: Sergio and Silvia, whom I sometimes treat like they are my kids and not my brother and sister!). I also have a dog named Rutch, whom I miss quite a lot right now!
My dream is to get a Volkswagen Combi (a van) and travel around, trying to see all the sunsets of the world.
As a good spaniard, I love "siestas", but I can definitely skip them for a good landscape or a nice activity to do.
I am also a bit of a series geek... I watch all the series you can imagine... I learned english watching american series in original version!!
I am definitely better eater than cook, but I promiss a spanish oomelette to whoever hosts me!! ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Maybe it doesn't sound that incredible, but one of the memories of something impressive that I've seen is something I saw from the window of my room, at my very home.
In my home town I live on top of a little cliff, right by the sea, and at the bottom there are a bunch of big rocks (where in the calm days there are always a few young couples kissing or having the first date!!).
From the window of my room I have a wonderful view of the sea, and I can spend hours just looking outside.
On a stormy day, the electricity in the house stopped working, so I decided to just go to my room and enjoy the wonderful view of the storm on the sea.
After a while, I saw a helicopter arriving. The wind was very strong so they seemed to be having problems to remain stable. Then I saw a man jumping out of the helicopter with a robe. He dived into the sea and just disappeared within the waves. After a while the people in the helicopter started to pull up the robe, and I saw the diver holding another man in his arms!!
I felt amazed by how they risked their lives to save that man in the sea, about to drawn or be kicked against the rocks, to a certain death.
It was something very impressive to see, because it's almost a myracle to be saved in the middle of the sea, with a storm like that one putting everyone'¡s life in danger.
