About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Missed out on an OE (Overseas Experience) in my 20's, so I am going to do it in my fifties!

ABOUT ME

Found out about Couchsurfing while in Europe in July 2009 while on a number of reciprocal house swaps. This is another great alternative. Hosting is a great way to experience many of the joys of travel without even leaving home.

But great news! my tickets are booked and I am finally about to head off on the great Kiwi OE... 30 years later than most... what can I say, must be a late developer!!

PHILOSOPHY

who needs an excuse?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I really enjoy introducing people to my country and learning about them and theirs... its the next best thing to travelling yourself.

After hosting many wonderful people from around the world, I am finally ready to head off and be a surfer myself. My sister charmingly said, "Carol-Ann, you would be welcome anywhere, because you can cook"!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Wow! just had a big break from couch surfing. I have had many visitors stay (about 50) over the past 18 months, with lots of great memories.
