About Me
ABOUT ME
I was raised in NYC, in Brooklyn, but I worked and went to Hunter College on Park Ave. After 8 years of part-time study I became a teacher, and ultimately became a Spanish/Italian teacher. I was raised listening to beautiful Neapolitan songs sung by my tenor father, and I'm consumed with Italian Culture. Whenever I watch TV, it's usually the RAI channel, and I speak Italian with my two grandsons. I've visited 11 of the 20 Italian Regions, and my dream is to see all of them.
I also enjoy the Irish and Latino cultures, and I'm an avid hiker, and I enjoy the theater, movies, good food, good conversation, and good wine.
PHILOSOPHY
I feel it is important to make every moment count, and to have as many life experiences as possible so as to be a lifelong learner. I believe this site offers one the ability to share the place you've been blessed to live in to further the enhancement of others' lives.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to the site, and I would be willing to host in my townhome in Southern California. You need to know, however, that I share it with a young, very energetic female Golden Retriever.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Awaiting my first experience in NYC.
Interests
I enjoy the great outdoors, hiking, and also going to the beach. Taking long walks and car rides with my girl (see note above) in my sporty convertible. I enjoy having friends over for dinner, and special events, like screenings of Academy nominated films that I happen to come by. And, of course, I enjoy the time I spend with my young grandchildren.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love to read novels, non-fiction, the newspaper and magazines. I like to be up on current events. I enjoy all genres of music, except RAP., and can dance to just about everything. I love to dance.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've flown on the Concorde, ridden the London Eye, and I've visited Italy, Spain, England and France, and most recently Australia and New Zealand, but I've got so much more traveling to do.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always ready to share my knowledge of the Italian and Spanish languages, traveling, music, discuss movies, food (yes I cook) and wines.
