About Me

Voici Carolina.

Carolina here. I'm Colombian and a language teacher. It's my first time in Europe. I travel to discover/live French and English and everything that surrounds these languages. I'm excited but I'm in the need of locals who could give me a hand, some guidance during these new experience. I consider myself a serious and open-minded person, kinda shy but ready to chat.

IMPORTANT : I won't accept sharing a bed or your own room, I prefer to be cautious. Also, I'd prefer to contact and be contacted by female hosts, couples or families.

**It's not a dating app, not interested in those kind of meetings**

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travel on a budget, but as I know I won't be able to repeat this experience too many times, I would like to take the most of it and know as much as possible with the advice or the company from the locals. It seems to me that the philosophy of CS is precisely to offer some help, to make these cultural exchanges, to approach the daily life of the country / city that we visit, to meet people who are ready to share... That interests me a lot as a language teacher, as I would like to "taste" a little of the life of these countries that I have always wanted to visit.

Interests

I'm interested in deep topics, I really enjoy conversations about philosophy, religion, politics, arts and education but i don't consider myself a cultivated person, I don't pretend to be an expert but rather a curious and a good listener. Of course, I like to share my point of view and experiences, I'm talkative when in the mood but also shy for sometimes no reason hahaha 😁

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have enjoyed every short travel I've got the chance to make. I think every one of them is an adventure on its own. I cannot travel frequently, even close to my town it's difficult for me (money and time wise) but when I do is like being in wonderland, it's like my eyes and my senses wouldn't believe it.

I love walking around, I love the rivers and the sea, I'm amazed by the nature's colours. It's what I seek most when I have the time, as I live in a city and a chaotic capital.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a language teacher and a professor at the my city. I'd be more than happy to share knowledge about education and learning languages.

Also I love folklore. I play Colombian Caribbean music with my brother, but he's the musician not me hehe (I often say I'm a frustrated artist 🥹). Even though I could share with you this part of me, which I deeply love.

I'm willing to share time and experiences with people I could meet while traveling. But please let's not go to very expensive places 😉. A walk, a coffee, a dinner is what it takes or less to seize the moment.

What I Can Share with Hosts

New here but I could do some chores and cook. I could offer Spanish lesson and some of my culture and what I know ☺️
