Overview
About Me
We are a French couple currently on a sabbatical to explore Asia from South-East to South to Central Asia. We started our journey in December 2014, have met plenty of interesting and inspiring people on the way, seen beautiful landscapes and different cultures and ways of living. We also try to understand local water and river issues, if you have some idea about...
Carol: I am an easy going person, I like spending good times with people but also like being alone sometimes. Understanding the world and trying to make it a little better have been passions since high school.
Elsa: I am a friendly and curious person. I like to learn about people, to understand how they live and to share some experiences. Sometimes, I can seem shy because I worry about disturbing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We have very recently joined Couchsurfing. Though we have very little experience with it, we like the spirit!
We are curious and love to meet people and share experiences. As travellers we enjoy exchanging with local people and get to know more intimately the cities and countries we visit.
We have had no hosting experience through Couchsurfing but will try when we are back home, after our sabbatical. We love Paris and France and it will be a pleasure to share these passions.
Interests
Carol: travelling, national and international politics, food, gardening, history, arts & literature.

Music, Movies, and Books
Carol: rather oldie French, English and US pop (nothing to be ashamed of, isn't it?! ;-)), rock and classical music. Serials like House of Cards and Game of Thrones, comedies, etc. French and Russian 19th century literature.
Elsa: Mainly pop and rock music... and sometimes oldie French and US pop, but much less old-fashoned than Carol! I prefer watching comedy and movie inspired by a true story, sometimes action movies. I love reading about travels, exploration and adventure.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Recently, spending some time in a village at the centre of Bangladesh and helping villagers harvesting and threshing rice. Genuine times with the people, in open air!
Teach, Learn, Share
We want to explore local water and river issues. We meet scientists, NGOs' staffs, local officials and on-the-field people to understand water issues and how they are addressed by people, organizations and governments. It would be a pleasure to talk about this subject or many others if you prefer!
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can share our travel experience, our respective passions, and above all some good times around a coffee, drinks or diner!
