ABOUT ME

For a long time, this description space in my CS profile was containing only one thing : "...work in progress..." because I didn't know what else to write. Now, OK, I will make an effort...

I think I'm a happy person most of the time and definitely an epicurean. My scientific background makes me analytical and disciplined, my travelling experiences make me comtemplative, a bit more creative, and more audacious. The "work in progress" is trying to make a good balance of all this.

I usually travel solo, either backpacking or cyclotouring. Both ways are great for meeting interesting people with interesting lives.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe Life is what you make it. If sometimes it seems like we don't choose what is happening to us, in the end we always have a choice of what we make of an experience and of what attitude we adopt towards it. I believe that to be happy is essentially choosing to be happy. From then on, giving and sharing become obvious.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I've been hosting a few travellers in my appartment, every time a wonderful experience. I try to make sure my guests feel at home.

Intereses

Music : I play traditional irish and québécois music (bodhrán and a bit of fiddle) with a group of musicians here in Rimouski, La Marée Montante. I'm also part of a rock and indie band (covers only) - mandolin, guitar, vocals.

My job: I teach chemistry at college and I love it.

Friends : each and every one of my friends is a beautiful person. Whateven is uniting us, either music, travelling, cycling, good food and good wine or all of those, my friends are the solid ground on which my live is built.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Amazing thing seen : Tibet. Sunsets in my home town during Winter.
Amazing thing done : I'm far from being the athletic type, so I am proud of all the cyclotouring trips I have done.
