About Me
For as long as I can remember I have been obsessed with travel. But I don´t travel to tick as many countries as possible off my list. I am always on the lookout for rather unconventional, yet far more sustainable and respectful ways to get to know this beautiful planet we live on. I want to get to know the people, not the main sights and hotspots. The best travel experiences are the ones I didn´t plan nor see any pictures of beforehand. I get out of my comfort zone as much as I possibly can and I´m always rewarded with amazing encounters with amazing people. I shower cold every day and literally love jumping into cold water (both physically and mentally). I usually avoid hostels/hotels, because I prefer to stay with locals and give back more to the places I visit than only money. Leaving a lasting "mental footprint" is better than a carbon one, so I try to travel by land as much as I can. This way I really get to experience the physical distances between places. Traveling by plane is a rather surreal experience, because you don´t feel like you´ve gone far away.
To be honest - two years of traveling have tought me more about life and what is meaningful than 15 years of school and university.
I usually skip superficial smalltalk and I am not afraid to dive deep into what matters most to the people around me. Honest and genuine connections are what I am looking for. Thought provoking conversations are very important to create change in this world.
Call me oldschool - but I hand-write into my diary regularly and I think it is an amazing way to get hold of my thoughts and emotions and to document my journey through life. I am in love with life and more than anything else I am in love with these wonderful creatures called humans.
Other than writing I like to lose myself in good music, dancing and non-fiction books (please hit me up if you have any book recommendations!). I also love Harry Potter - but who doesn´t ;)..
My next goal is to travel the world, as slow as I can, for as long as I can and eventually build a self-sustained ecological cabin in the woods. If you have any experience with building or have any tips on where to find legal building spots in the wilderness - I would love to know :)!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did an alpine crossing last year - awesome experience! I absolutely love hiking. It is the perfect way to connect with the nature around you. I want to hike the PCT in the future. If you wanna learn more about it - let´s have a chat!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning new languages. My native language is German and I am already fluent in English and Spanish. I want to learn a scandinavian language, preferably Norwegian or Swedish.
I am happy to teach a little german.
I know how to crochet, knit and do different knot techniques. Making things with my own hands is a great experience that makes me appreciate the stuff I create much more than stuff you can buy. However, I still didn´t manage to knit socks. If you know how to do that, please let me know, as I really want to have warmer feet in winter ;).
I practice yoga and would love to learn about meditation.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love deep talk about the world and what really matters to the people around me. I also love sharing a good bottle of wine and food and recommend nice music!
