About Me

Hi there! My name is Carolina and I'm 24 years old. I'm currently living in Santiago, Chile and planning a trip to the coast of Italy. I love knowing other places, but most of all I love meeting new people! I think the best way of traveling is to do it "as a local", so the opportunity of staying with someone that lives in the city I'm visiting is great!
I'm looking for new experiences and places that bring something different, not just the typical tourist check list.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find it a very good opportunity to share with people from different experiences and cultures. I believe that everyone has something particular to share with others, and meeting people as roomates is a great way to do it. I'm open to make new friends and having good conversations!
It is also very nice to have someone that lives in the city to talk and show you around.

Interests

I could say that the thing I love the most is singing. Also, I love music and love discovering new groups and styles. It is a big part of my life, so it's something I love to share with other people too. I like my trips experiences to be always related to music somehow.

Music, Movies, and Books

As I said, I love music. It is really hard to choose one, but I think my favorite group is Arctic Monkeys, while most of the groups that I like are in that same style. The Strokes, Phoenix, Tame Impala, Alt-j are my favorite among some others. I also love Jazz and Soul, including Rap Jazz and their varieties.

I also love reading. It is a big par of my day to day basis as it helps me go to places out of my normal routine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Chile we are in times of great changes and citizenship has been an important part, so as students we didn't stay out of it. My last years of university I actively participated in political organizations, working as representative on more than one time. The stories and experience I gained by being part of this social movement is something that I am not only proud of, but that I want to share with people from all over the world.
