My name is Carolina, i'm 24 and just finished my bachelor's degree in Spanish Litrature and decided to take a break to travel, meet new people and places that i've not been before. I'm new in the website, so i don't have references yet and i haven't hosted anyone =(, but i'm working on it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Estoy en Couchsurfing porque hasta ahora sólo había viajado quedándome en hostales y hoteles, pero esta vez decidí atreverme a conocer diferentes modos de vida en los distintos lugares a los que viajo, aprendiendo de los consejos y conversaciones de las personas reales que habitan las ciudades que visito. Además me encanta conocer y compartir con los demás, así que creo que Couchsurfing será una muy buena experiencia.

I'm in CouchSurfing because until now i've just traveled staying in hotels and hostels, but this time i decided to dare to meet different ways of living in the different places where i'll travel, learning tips and chatting with real people who lives everyday in the city.
Furthermore i'd love to meet and share with others, so i thing (and hope) Couchsurfing will be a wonderful experience

Interests

Me gusta viajar (me encanta Latinoamérica), leer, ver películas, obras de teatro, conversar (hablo mucho!) y aprender. Me gustan los animales, los viajes, las salidas a cenar, los juegos de mesa, la política y sobre todo conocer gente nueva. Mis panoramas favoritos incluyen una entretenida conversación y una noche de baile =).

I like travel (especially in Latinamerica), read, see movies, go to the theater, talk (i talk a lot!) and learning. I like animals, going out for dinner, boardgames, politics and mostly to meet new people. A great night could be having a funny talk and go to dance.

Music, Movies, and Books

Estudié literatura, me encanta leer. No tengo ningún autor favorito, pero me gusta mucho la literatura latinoamericana sobre todo la dramaturgia(Roberto Bolaño, Puig, G.Calderón), pero también la europea como A. Camus, G.Genet y Virginia Woolf. Me interesa también la política, así que si tienes ganas de conversar (con un vino en la mesa, por supuesto) podemos pasar horas enteras hablando acerca del mundo. Sobre cine, suelo decir que mi película favorita es Star Wars, Episode V, pero en general me gusta mucho el cine clásico norteamericano y el cine de autor. Me interesa el psicoanálisis, llevo un tiempo estudiando (específicamente a Freud), por lo que las películas que hablan del tema me entretienen un montón. Mis directores favoritos son : Fellini, Pasolini, Polanski, entre otros.
En general escucho una gran variedad de música, pero disfruto mucho el Rock en español (Charly García, Fito Paez, Los prisioneros, Gustavo Cerati, etc), también me gusta Kevin Johansen y otros tal vez menos conocidos. También me gusta la música en inglés (The Doors, The Clash, The Beatles), pero por sobre todo adoro bailar =)

I graduated from Litrature, so i love to read. I don't have any favorite author, but i like especially latinamerican litrature (Roberto Bolaño, Puig, G.Calderón), above all dramaturgy, but i like too the european one, such as A. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Uff..no sé si es lo único increíble que he hecho, pero algo que me hace inmensamente feliz es que adopté un cachorro. No planeaba tener mascotas, pero desde que vi a Obi Wan Kenobi, un Weimaraner en adopción (Sí, lo llamé Obi Wan Kenobi), mi vida cambió completamente. Se comió toda mi ropa y mi cama, pero aún así es el mejor compañero que existe =D.

hmmm... i don't know if this is the only amazing thing i've done, but something that makes me really happy is that i adopted a puppy (about 2 years ago, no a puppy anymore xD). I didn't planned having any pet, but since i saw Obi Wan Kenobi (yes, i named him Obi Wan Kenobi), a Weimaraner that needed a family, my life changed completely. He ate all my clothing and my bed, but he is the best partner ever =D.
The funny thing is that when you call him "Ben Kenobi" he Comes (In spanish "Ben" is pronounced as "Ven" a word that means "Come", hehehehe =D)

Puedo enseñar español y me vendría muy bien que me ayudaran con el inglés y alemán.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Puedo ofrecer largas y entretenidas conversaciones de política, literatura, cine o fútbol... sé y me gusta bastante cocinar, por lo que podría cocinar algunos platos que conozco. También sé jugar Catan, por si quisieran jugar alguna partida =)

I can offer long and amusing talks about politics, litrature, films and fútbol (soccer)... i know and i like cooking, therefore i could cook some dishes i know. I know how to play Settlers of Catan if you want to play =)
