I grew up with a curiosity for languages and a deep desire to travel (what kid doesn't want to see the world?). So I chose German as one of my majors, which led me to go to Germany while in college, which led me to now work in a study abroad office!

So like most Couchsurfers, I really enjoy learning learning about other cultures and experiencing life in another city, state, and especially country :) I'm kind of quiet at first, but I do enjoy making new friends and getting to know them better over coffee, a good beer, or a fun activity.

The travel itch has been reawakened in me (I guess that's what happens when you work in a study abroad office). I don't travel as much as I'd like to, but I figured creating a CS profile would be a good first step towards that. I first heard of CS while I was getting ready to spend a summer in Germany. It sounded adventurous but crazy for a female traveler, but now I'm ready to give it a try!

My experiences abroad showed me how awesome it is to try to experience life as a local as much as possible. I am looking for friendly people who are willing to lend a space to sleep in and can show me around/give tips for navigating their city or town.

Languages: aspriring polyglot. Native Spanish and English speaker and learned German in college-a little rusty right now but maybe B2ish. Know some basic French. Would love to learn Portuguese and so many more languages.

Nothing that extraodinary, but living in Berlin for 3 months was pretty daring to me. It involved a lot of independence and figuring things out on my own, which was a big deal for my 20-year-old self.
