About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Do my best showing Bogotá to everyone that comes and if you visit Bucaramanga while I'm there, I'd be more than happy to show you MY city. I did CS for the first time in 2015 while in Europe, and it went so good that I decided to use it a few more times during my time abroad. Because of that the time has come for me to pay it forward. As I am new in this hosting thing, it will take me a while to fully agree to it so I am only "maybe" accepting guests. But I can totally hang out, show you around Bogotá and share some insider tips with you, of course.

ABOUT ME

I'm a fun, easy going, talkative young person. I enjoy sharing my life experiences. I consider myself really open minded. I love going out, knowing new places, meeting new people, dancing, and my favorite place to be at is the beach :)
I have two degrees in Cultural Studies and Political Science. I am very interested in gender discussions, feminism, "cultural" differences. I can also discuss the weather, music, movies...whatever's on my mind!
And I'm an Andy Warhol fan!

PHILOSOPHY

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I actually had a rocky start because on my first time (September 2015), the person that was meant to host me never opened the door and left me waiting for over an hour outside of his house without any notice. I still didn't give up on the site and gave it another go in Paris and in Louvain-la-Neuve and both experiences went great! Used it a couple more times during the semester and didn't have one bad experience so my time has come to give back!

Interests

I absolutely love traveling! I enjoy listening to music, eating, walking, hanging out with friends and family. My favorite place to be at is the beach. I love the outdoors, going for walks, laying on the grass, enjoying the sun.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: The Doors, The Kooks, Bloc Party, Daft Punk, Gorillaz, The Fray, Keane, Santigold, Beach Boys..a little bit of everything. I saw The Kooks live twice in 2015, and those have been 2 of the best days of my life. I had been waiting for that for at least 7 years.

I love Foucault but I also like to read fiction or biographic novels. Recently finished "The Help" and "An object of beauty" by Steve Martin.

I am a Harry Potter fan! I can also quote Mean Girls, Legally Blonde, The Hangover...I have a pretty good memory for 'useless' information. The best movie I've seen this year would definitely be 'Skeleton Twins', starred by Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did an exchange in France for 6 months when I was 16, then travelled bit on my own. A bit frightening but totally worth it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am willing to teach as much as I can about Colombia and its culture, and everything I know about anything else.
I absolutely love learning new languages, habits and foreign expressions. I am fluent in Spanish, English and French, and learning German and Italian. I would love to speak as many languages as possible, I think it is one way to get to people and understand them and their cultures better.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I could totally share every single thing I know about anything! That might not seem much, but I could totally help out anyone who's learning Spanish, or someone who'd love to know a thing or two about Colombia or any other place I've been to. I can also share books, music, stories, even dance moves! And some recipes, of course. I have been living "on my own" for the past 6 years so It's pretty safe to say I won't give you any food poisoning.
