I'm currently living in Denmark, went to Aarhus University where I studied Prehistoric Archaeology. I can't offer a room/bed right now, but when I can, I'll make sure to let you guys know!

Teach, Learn, Share

Having only very basic Mandarin means that everyday communication with the locals can be slightly difficult, however having patience, a good attitude, and a good sense of humour will get you far! I often find that smiling at those who stare (because they've never seen a foreigner) and trying your best to talk to those you encounter, rather than to ignore them, is a great way to enhance your experience in China's countryside!
