ABOUT ME
Life is too short not to travel. Not to experience new things. Not to open your mind. Not to meet people, learn from and teach them, and become a better person.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm a calm person, passionate about life, traveling and nature. I still think I can change the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I like to meet new people, and I think it is a great way to really discover the culture of a country, staying with the locals.
I've had the chance to surf in different countries, and I always felt welcome and could exchange a lot with my hosts; and I feel that I could understand more about their culture by seeing how they live and where they go, either for tourism or for a good beer.
In Mexico me and my husband hosted a lot of people, and it was always great, we made some good friends, we could show them more of the mexican lifestyle and we could exchange our culture and learn from theirs.

Music, Movies, and Books
Chico Buarque, Tom Jobim, João Gilberto, Tim Maia, Lenine, and all the good musicians from Brazil.
Gabriel García Marquez, Carlos Ruiz Zafón, Machado de Assis... I read from everything, from classics to Game of Thrones.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hike in a National Park in Lapland Finland, we overnight in a wilderness hut from park. It was amazing! Knowing there wasn't anyone around, breathing pure air, watching the midnight sun by the fire.. I highly recommend the experience!
Climbing Nevado de Colima, close to Guadalajara- México.
Backpacking for our honeymoon during 2 months in Asia.
Well, I'm starting over again in a new country, it is kind of amazing to have this opportunity and also very challenging!
Teach, Learn, Share
I was faced with the mission of teaching Portuguese in México, and well... I really enjoyed it! It's a rewarding job and I had so much fun, seeing my students speaking Portuguese with my accent, influencing them in a good way, showing real, quality, Brazilian music and not just what is popular abroad.
I love to share my culture and break the stereotypes people usually have from Brazil and Brazilians...
I like to learn everything... mostly cooking right now.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can try to cook something from Brazil, and do a Caipirinha for you :)
I also can tell you about my country, and a bit about my history and the places I've lived in.
