Overview
About Me
I like humans. I like to think about humans. I like to talk to humans about humans ;) I like art and different humans.
I enjoy to smile, to dance, to drink and eat and walk and talk.
I lived in Germany (Munich, Leipzig, Berlin), Turkey (Izmir), Ireland (Dublin), and Canada (Vancouer). I travelled quite a bit and did not stop studying yet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Sharing a bottle of wine after wonderfully exhausting days for example? Getting to know people (and meet new friends at best)! Learn. Maybe the order should be changed. Maybe not. Conversations. Other people´s minds! I guess I like feeling comfortable and private with people I barely know. I believe that places mean something to us only through people and experiences we have.
Interests
Recently, I guess, I become more and more a nerd (but not the in-your-face-type, no-no!): So I like theoretical and complicated stuff, like texts by Foucault, Butler, Rebentisch, Agamben etc., then I also do and like street and video art and collect sounds (for myself; so far), and even worse I like to walk. A lot.

Music, Movies, and Books
Film directors I enjoy would be Lars von Trier, Jim Jarmush, Michael Hanecke, Jaques Tati, the documentaries by Werner Herzog... I just watched Blade Runner and am absolutely fascinated. So I guess I like weird stuff. (I watched Begotten with my first couch surfing host - ha.)
My series would be Six Feet Under, The Wire, Mad Men, maybe Walking Dead (I stopped when pictures of half rotten faces kept flashing up during the day time).
It took me a while to like South Park, but I do.
Novels, oh man, where to start? I have always liked grumpy immoral narrators and the ones who fascinate with their very own and breath taking use of language, so I like William Foster Wallace, Michel Houellebeque, Thomas Bernhard, and Fjodor Dostojewski as much as Toni Morrison, Philip Roth, Jonathan Franzen, or Herta Müller.
Music wise I think I shift more and more to electronic stuff and I got super interested in noise music - yet I am not an expert. I rather come from the Eels, Beck, the XX, Florence and the Machine, Chopin, Brass side...
I like video art and again, the weird stuff that one does not understand immediately, but I want to feel something as well and I appreciate beauty a lot... let´s name Ellen Gallagher, Francis Alys, Matthew Barney, Ai Wei Wei and Anish Kapoor, maybe?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
doing!
Teach, Learn, Share
teaching is a delicate matter - its great though if you are fascinated by something and tell about it
learning it is, right?
sharing? anyways - the other thing is lonelyness and who wants this?
What I Can Share with Hosts
Thoughts, stories, feelings, experiences, conversations.
Oh no: Wine and cheese!
