Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Visit new places and have thought provoking conversations with strangers
ABOUT ME
I am originally from Uruguay and have been living in the US for over 8 years. I completed my undergrad at Stanford where I met the love of my life (and travel companion!) Julio, the handsome man in my profile picture. He is a 3rd grade teacher in Sunnyvale. I am now working on finishing a doctorate in Physical Therapy at UCSF/SFSU in San Francisco.
PHILOSOPHY
Accept others as they are, don't make assumptions, live in a way that serves others
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am hoping to participate in local events and be a guide for people visiting SF. My partner and I live in a very small apartment (just a bedroom and kitchen) and have no room for hosting, but we are happy to welcome people to the city and show them around/ give tips for getting around/ cooking a meal together
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Just joined!
Interests
Besides being a "professional student", I spend my free time keeping myself updated about world news, visiting new places, reading, playing tennis, baking, and spending time with family and friends. My favorite part about travelling is meeting new people who teach me new things about themselves and the world. I am really excited to be joining the Couchsurfing community and hope to be a resource to anyone visiting SF!

Music, Movies, and Books
Sci-fi/action junkie- Star Wars, Star Trek, Avengers (and all the other Marvel movies), Ender's Game, LOTR, Harry Potter, etc.
I also love watching documentaries on Netflix. All time favorite: Half the Sky
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Jumped from a 40 foot cliff into a waterfall in Ecuador and survived ... At the time I thought "YOLO!" but looking back it was not a good idea (came out with a broken toe!). At least it's a good story :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I am fluent in Spanish and proficient in German, and can teach a few useful frases :) This is kind of random, but I have a minor in Religious Studies and have learned a lot about religion from a historical perspective, which people seem to find interesting/new, so I can share some of that knowledge too! Oh, and I am getting a degree in Physical Therapy, so I can help with some joint pain too :)
Countries I’ve Visited
Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Germany, Mexico, South Africa, Uruguay
Countries I’ve Lived In
