ABOUT ME

Hi, hello, bonjour ! I'm Caroline.

I live in Paris, I work in Publishing. I will be traveling through Canada this winter (2019) and I can't wait!

I'm a pianist and a singer, have been all my life and love it.
I grew up in the countryside (south of France) and miss it a lot, which means that I like to think that I am not afraid of any living thing (except for spiders. But I survive looking at them) and I love walking, discovering the wonders of nature... Well I am in for anything.
But... I also love to sleep, and stay in!

Nothing much more to say really. I am British on my dad's side but grew up in France, and currently living in Paris (it's beautiful, come visit me). I am an editor for Children's books (I used to study linguistics before), have been working for a little while, and am taking a little break in my career to travel.

All in all, I like to think that I am an enthusiastic person - I am in for anything, I want to discover more of the world and be part of it. I would hate to regret not having done things...

I think couchsurfing is a great way to travel because you get to meet people who want to meet travelers!

Favorite Movies: too many to tell! A bit of everything!

Favorite Books: this is just too hard. I love a lot of books... I work with books!
Maybe, if I had to chose one author, because he spoke to me as a child, as a teenager, and still now as an adult: Philip Pullman. His work is just stunning.

Favorite Music: pretty eclectic tastes, anything from the 60's to 80's, but also current pop / rock, and Schubert and Mozart, and Coldplay, Muse, Pink Floyd, Moby, Dire Straights... Anything but screaming metal or punk.

Climbed up a mountain in the middle of the night to see the sunrise from its top. Spent a month on an island teaching kids how to sail and feeding 120 people.
Lived in London, lived in Paris, lived in New York.

I don't have many talents but I have studied a lot of different things! From linguistics to music, from sailing to skiing, from singing to knitting...
I don't know if I have anything to teach, but I would like to think that I have things to share!
