About Me
CURRENT MISSION: Rooting in Philadelphia while exploring the world and connecting with genuine souls
HOSTING: I work from home so I am usually home a lot. My work schedule changes a lot and I won't necessarily be updating my availability on couchsurfing. Definitely worth sending me a message to see if I'm free! You'd be in my living room sleeping on the couch. Please note that the bathroom is up a very steep flight of stairs so this may not be the best accommodation option for someone with limited mobility. I also have a sweet little kitty so please note in case of allergies. No smoking or drugs of any kind in the house.
ABOUT ME:
Hi! I'm Caroline, lover of adventure, music, dancing, food, tea, travel and overall good vibes. I'm very chill, can be chatty or a little reserved depending on the day. Friends have described me as creative, open-minded, welcoming and a good listener. I spent the past two years teaching English in Reunion Island and Rennes, France.
Je parle français, y aprendo español también :)
PHILOSOPHY:
Good vibes make the world go round. Some of my best travel experiences have come about by connecting with strangers, having great conversations, hanging out and getting to know one another. I also love to immerse in the local way of life and enjoy offering the same to any guests who come my way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE:
I'm interested in couchsurfing to travel differently, immerse myself in local culture and meet cool people. I have typically stayed in hostels or Airbnbs in the past and always had the best experiences when I was hanging with my hosts/other travelers. Hoping to find more of that here. Now that I'm based in Philly I'm also open to hosting people on occasion.
MY INTERESTS:
I'm all about the simple things in life. Walking through the park on a sunny day, sniffing every flower I come across, petting the street cats, enjoying tea with friends, chilling on my hammock, listening to the sound of water flowing through a creek, waves crashing onto shore. Wandering through a new town, tasting new foods, trying a new recipe, listening to music, throwing mini (sometimes one-person) dance parties.

Music, Movies, and Books
I sort of live under a rock with movies and TV, but my all time favorite show is for sure Avatar the Last Airbender.
Music-wise, I love anything with a funky beat that I can dance to, especially house, disco, funk, jazz, really anything groovy. I also like classic rock and blues.
Some artists I really like are: Barry Can't Swim, Berlioz (the DJ), Darius, Franc Moody, Khurangbin and FKJ
My all time favorite song is Maggie May by Rod Stewart
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed the highest mountain peak in the Indian Ocean
I went cave diving in Budapest
I once got stranded in a remote village in Madagascar
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: dance parties, English and French, cooking
Learn: I'm very open minded and down to chat about whatever- I love exchange and learning from others
Share: music, tea, more dance parties, dinners, drinks
What I Can Share with Hosts
Tea sessions!
I'm a good cook and would be down to make dinners together some nights. Also happy to help out around the house with cleaning, etc.
It would also be awesome to explore the city together if your schedule permits. I love local tea houses, exploring in nature and cool live music venues. Also cool with keeping to myself if you're a busy person.
