Overview
About Me
I grew up in a small town in Dorset, England and since I was able to leave home I have loved travelling around the world. I have done various trips over the last 10 years, sometimes backpacking, camping, road tripping and more recently campervanning. All have been awesome and unique. I am now in Chile as my partner has a job here starting in the new year and I am hoping to teach English. We decided to come to the country early so we would have time to start exploring and learning the language. I love languages and to be fluent in Spanish and French are big dreams of mine! I love exploring different cultures and meeting people from all over but now I feel that settling in a new place for few years will be really exciting. Chile seems to be such a great country, the people we have met so far have been so friendly and the landscape is incredible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing as I have stayed in so many hostels over the last few years and although they can be fun and I have made some great friends, they are also quite impersonal. If I visit a country, I like to meet the people that actually live there and share food, stories and wine (of course) from our native countries.
My partner and I are due to leave Valparaiso soon to travel around Chile more and we would love to couch surf with people that live here.
Interests
I love live performance - going to the theatre and seeing live music and dance. Travelling...(of course!) and meeting new people from all over the world and cultures.
Arts n Crafts and being creative. I enjoy making things from scratch, up-cycling old objects into something new. I enjoy sewing and adapting old clothes, I have also recently started learning to do upholstery so I can take old pieces of furniture and give them a new life.
I love languages. Have spent time in France in the past learning French and am now in Valparaiso doing Spanish courses. I have also taught a bit of English in France and Spain and am hoping to do more of this in the future.

I also enjoy documentary films like Blackfish or Virunga. And of course I like some action films, James Bond and many of the old British/ American classics.
Books - I enjoy both fiction and non-fiction.
Favourite books include: The Kite Runner, Shantaram, currently getting into Isabel Allende

A Skydive - the scariest but most exciting thing I have done!
