ABOUT ME

Since I was a little girl, I had a fancy for Europe. Its architecture, scenery and its culture fascinate me a lot. I always dream of having a tour in those fairy tale castles and strolling in the quiet, beautiful countryside of England.
Of course, sometimes things are beautiful because they exist in dreams. In real life, I have always been a good student and is now working as an English teacher. My recent travel abroad is to Palau, a fascinating Pacific island where I swam together with sharks and jellyfishes!
I will soon go to the U.S. for doctoral studies in 2014 fall. So suddenly I found that I'm left with a perfect time to travel, to realize my childhood fantasy. I plan to travel to Europe in mid Feb to April in 2014 and I'm also open to hosting travelers from around the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can be a host. I live in Shanghai, China. My home is located in the town center of Jiading district, which is a historical suburb in Shanghai. I live with my parents and my home is pretty spacious. I can provide you with a cozy couch or a tatami. You can visit the Confucius Temple, classical gardens from the Qing Dynasty and have a taste of the most authentic Shanghai food, Xiaolongbao（小笼包）, a kind of small, delicious dumpling. If you wish to visit the downtown, you can take the metro line 11 - which is only a 10-minute bus drive to my home- and 45 minutes later, you will be in the city center of Shanghai.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I currently have no couchsurfing experience, but I'm willing to be a host first.

Intereses

I enjoy all the fantasy things such as fantasy and magic novels, movies, games, music... I have been a Harry Potter fan since eleven. I wished I had magic then.
I love classical music, especially Mozart. I also love Chinese traditional culture such as calligraphy, YiChing. My favorite game is Assassin's Creed II, so Florence, Italy is definitely the must-see destination in my travel plan!

In Palau, I swam with sharks! The sharks are harmless to humans. I also swan with jellyfishes. Because of the evolution, they are now completely harmless. I even touched the jellyfishes! They are extremely tender and delicate!
