A friend of mine once introduced me to her french exchange student with these words: "ca, c'est Caroline. elle est timide."
Ever since that day, I've been trying not to stand in my own way by being too shy. I'm still learning.

Interests

Here's things I like: Dancing. Chocolate. Books. Going to the movies. Tolerance, the real thing though, not the "I am tolerant but"-kind. Defending my opinion to the bitter end in a discussion (I'm stubborn -but in a friendly way). People who are good at languages. Thunderstorms and windy weather. Caramel Latte. The smell of summer rain. Travelling by train. Being in charge of important things. Being all grown up and able to go wherever I want to go. Being taken seriously. Shopping. Pizza, Chili, Ben&Jerry's, eating in general. Organizing things (I can be a bit of a control freak). Getting to know people who have matching items on their lists! Let me know! :)

I recently read Reinaldo Arenas' "Before Night Falls"/"Antes que anochezca" (found it great but a bit exhausting), then saw the movie and LOVED it.

Right now I'm in the middle of "On the road" (Jack Kerouac) and already want to tattoo half of it all over my body.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could possibly teach... German, or some English or Spanish (my study subjects), playing the violin, how to use a sewing machine, some ballroom and salsa dance steps. I'm pretty good at peeling pineapples and grapefruit, too.

I would like to learn: sign language, some Portuguese...
