I'm currently working as a editor in Austin, Texas, but I'll be relocating to Portland, Oregon very soon for a new job opportunity to make people-focused, empathy-driven short films! I love sharing and creating videos that capture the human experience, and traveling has allowed me to connect with so many interesting people and their stories. I grew up in the Houston area and went to college in Austin, so I'm very much a proud Texan, but have travelled all over the US, Europe and East Asia. I want to explore so much more! Also, I'm fully vaccinated and follow local covid guidelines.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love seeing new places, talking to locals and exchanging stories! It's easy to just keep to yourself these days, but I think it's so fun to meet new people and see their home through their eyes.

Interests

I like to stay active, whether I'm biking around town, hiking local trails or practicing a new hobby like slacklining or handstands! You'll probably find me tending to my windowsill garden of fruit sprouts and house plants- I like to grow strawberries, blueberries, oranges and peaches from seed!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like anything within the genres of indie, pop, and folk! Not a big fan of horror movies, but rom coms, documentaries and drama films are awesome. I enjoy memoirs, historical fiction books, or the popular favorites like Harry Potter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I biked around 4,000 miles from Austin, Texas to Anchorage, Alaska over the course of 2.5 months and got to see Colorado, Utah, Montana, Idaho, and different territories of rural Canada in such a beautiful way. I'd love to tell you more about my journey and why I did it!
