ABOUT ME

I am 19 year-old student from Lithuania. If you ask my best friends to say several things related to me, they say, that I am tolerant and open-minded person. I respect every person's attitude to religion, their own point of view. They say I am that person, who always accepts challenges and tries to catch every opportunity in life in order not to regret anything. Moreover, I am just fascinated about traveling, seeing new people and getting aware of the world around me. I am never afraid of difficulties and inconvenience situations in my life. Furthermore, surrounding people notice, that I always put all my efforts to do my best in every work, which I start, that I am communicative and full of enthusiasm (:

Interests

First of all, I am Bachelor's degree student in sociology at The University of Vilnius. I had chosen this type of studies, because I am keen on human social activity, social stratification, deviance and so on.
In spite of the fact, that my studies occupies the biggest part of my time, I am also interested in photography. I love taking photos of my friends or unfamiliar people. I also adore taking photos of landscape in my beautiful country - Lithuania. Sometimes I just grab my camera and go wherever I want without thinking about any problems, which I left behind me. I just love to capture the moments of my friends and parents life. Photography is that thing, which makes my world to be more colorful. It is my cup of tea.
What is more, I really love to explore Lithuanian ethnicity such as, folk music, the old religion of Lithuania, symbols, folklore and other things related to it.
Another thing, which makes my life engaging is making some jewelery. I adore making some earrings, bracelets to myself and my friends. I try to make all my jewelery myself. I think, when I wear jewelery, which I made, it is the best way to express yourself and be different. It is not that jewelery, which you can buy at every shop.
My attention also grabs painting. Two years ago I finished Art School in my hometown. It was the unique experience for me. Four years, which I spent there, were very useful. Those years have helped me understand, that painting is one of the things I absolutely enjoy doing. When I paint, I don't see anything around me. It is like a meditation. It is a way to improve imagination and creativity.

Music, Movies, and Books

Like many people at my age, I like listening to music. I love Metallica, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Kings of Leon, The Beatles, Green Day, Bob Marley and others. I really regret, that will I miss the chance to see Red Hot Chilli Peppers, who will come to Lithuania this summer for the first time. This is because I have applied for a position of summer job in USA.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first moment in my life, which left me awestruck, was participating in two music festivals, which were held this summer. The first festival was called "Tamsta Muzika". The motto of it was : "Three days of love and music" and it justifies. It is a good opportunity to see many popular Lithuanian rock, electro-rock, jazz, disco bands. It was also an amazing opportunity to see very popular American soul singer, rapper and musician - Aloe Blacc. There were more than 5000 people. There are so much various things to do. You can just sit and listen your favourite bands, you can try wind-surfing, learn lindyhop and many others activities. Another festival was held near the Baltic Sea. It was called "Karkle".
Another thing, which stuck in my mind, was the trip to Czech Republic, Austria and Hungary. I have visited the capitals of these countries. This trip was really worth-seeing. I meet so many interesting people and it makes me to feel so happy and satisfied, that I want to meet some people, their customs from other countries.
