ABOUT ME

I have traveling in my blood. My mom is South African, my dad is Russian, and they met on a "magic bus" in Morocco in the 70s. My first plane ride was to South Africa when I was 9 months old. My worst plane ride was the Air France 358 plane crash on August 2nd 2005. I have been to Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, and the States. I'd like to go almost everywhere else!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I currently live with my parents and can't host, but I can meet you and show you around my town. I can also advise on Montreal, QC, and Toronto, ON.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I like some independence when traveling, but will much appreciate your guidance in your town.

I couch surfed in Ottawa for Canada Day 2010 and it was a great experience. I surfed again in Bologna in May 2011 and it was amazing. When I have my own place I'd love to host you!

I've shown a couple of couch surfers around my home town and I really enjoy doing so. I can find something you're interested in here, despite it being a smaller city.

Intereses

I am an MA student in American Studies (literature) at UWO and I have a BA Hons. in English Literature. I specify in 20th century British and American literature, but I love discussing all sorts of writing. I also love art and art history, history, philosophy, and languages. I take way too many photos, too.

I love sports, watching and playing, specifically soccer, football, volleyball, badminton, hiking and more.

I also love to camp and can advise on camping in Ontario, Canada. I love to kayak and canoe, and have paddled through Georgian Bay and Algonquin Park in Ontario and the Charles River in Boston, MA.

Música, películas y libros

I am an audiophile and I have a very eclectic taste in music. I love live shows especially. I play a few instruments.

As for movies, I like comedies, adventures, and philosophical films.

I'm also a bibliophile since I'm a literature student. I'd love to talk to you about books. Check out my librarything catalog:

Going on safari in the Kruger Park in South Africa is an amazing experience. I've been lucky enough to go a few times, the most successful being in October 2010.

I like to learn and practice languages so I can help you learn English or French.

I'm a very good researcher and trip organizer. If you need to know a neat diner in the area or a good art gallery, I can help you. I can advise you on all the places I've been because I take care to plan trips myself to make sure I don't miss a thing.
