Overview
About Me
I work as a primary school teacher in London and I absolutely love my job. Particular interests include: French and Spanish learning, painting and making and teaching early mathematics. Too cool.
My life is kept busy by work and politics. I have a big elected role in the Labour Party and spend a lot of time applauding old dudes and resenting it a bit. On the plus side, I've met amazing people, at home and abroad that share these ideals.
All this is held together by meals and good food. I love making, eating and trying new food and we're big believers in a good sit down meal with good chat.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined the project in my year as an au-pair when one of the old girls at LinkAupair Nyon suggested it as the best way to travel Europe. I didn't think too much of it until me and friends took up the idea in our road trip through Italy in April 2010. I did a lot of hosting when I was younger and have met some excellent people.

Books?
I love reading trashy chick-lit and Victorian classics. I love buying cheap books, reading fabulous stories and I still go to the library.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spoken to a crowd of 10,000 in front of the Houses of Parliament.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love showing off my country. I can walk you down a street and tell you hundreds of useless facts about Britons you've never even heard of and what they did here. I love London and I soak up the historical shit like a sponge despite my lack of historical education. I love general knowledge and anthropology especially when it comes to the best city in the world: London town.
I'm typically British - I do need my cups of tea and digestive biscuits and roasted warming comfort food. A little eccentric, a little sarcastic and I have a friendy West country accent. You may not know what that means now, but you will.
