ABOUT ME
At the moment, I'm studying everything about climate change. Its amazing - a whole mixture of really interesting science plus global justice, neocolonialism, different world views, international action and really local individual behaviour change.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think its far more interesting for both the host and the guest to get to know a city together... Having a couchsurfer helped me open my eyes to parts of the city that I had become completely blind to and I could show them little, non-tourist parts of the city that they couldn't have found in time! Also the conversation generally is pretty good!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing travel experience I've had has probably been in Lebanon - first in Tripoli with the muezzins calling to each other as I looked from the Crusader castle across to the sea and secondly in Qadisha with its absolutely stunning ravines. Other than that, the blue of Essaouira in Morocco will always stay with me - of the boats, the shop fronts, the houses - and Xinjiang in Western China with its beautiful hanging vines across the roads and oasis villages.
