Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a couchsurfing neophyte, but I'd like to rectify that soon. :)

Interests

Cooking--for pleasure, for comfort, for friends; hiking in beautiful places--sometimes without appropriate footwear; travel--by plane, by train, and often just from my armchair; choral singing; leisurely afternoons at a cafe or on a park bench, watching the world go by.

Music, Movies, and Books

Film: Pedro Almodovar, Wes Anderson, Richard Linklater. What greater pleasure is there than going to the movies? I can always be tempted by with something foreign, art house, or documentary.

Literature: Histories; Memoir; Travel-writing; Cookery (I've been known to read recipe books like novels)
