ABOUT ME

I think I am naturally a nomadic person. I love to be travelling. I love exploring new places, and being in the outdoors. I have visited more than a hundred countries, and written over twenty books.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people. And Couchsurfing provides a somewhat more formal way, than just getting to talk to people along the way.
I find it very interesting too, exploring the question of hospitality, the desire to have guests and welcome people to your home, whilst at the same time maintaining ones own sense of tranquillity and assurance.
How to get this to work well and successfully, so that everyone gains from the experience, that is a challenge in itself.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In my experience Couchsurfers tend by nature to travel quite a lot, so I frequently miss people because they are away from home.
But even when I do not manage to meet or stay with people, I am always finding new friends here.
