Hi,

I'm Caroline, I'm 27 years old all and I'm discovering the world with Thomas, my travel buddy for years and husband since July. We already travelled in a lot of European countries and Middle East and wanted to go a little further, for a bit longer. Therefore, for our honeymoon, we decided to go for a trip around the world for one year, from South America to Asia, going through New Zealand. We started in September 2022.

During our trips, we like to meet new people, to discover new cultures and to share ours. We've travelled a lot and we are always amazed to discover different places and people wherever we go.

My husband and I are really convenient and adapt ourselves to the people hosting us. We'll be discreet if you want us so, make you discover our culture if you're interested in it and we are always happy to chat and share some time together. We make a lot of jokes (not always good, sorry in advance), we like to discover new taste (food is life), learn about history of the country we are visiting and meet people from everywhere.

ps : it is our first steps on Couchsurfing so we don't have a lot of reviews (yet) but we have some from Airbnb. You can find them in my pictures :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are on couchsurfing to meet locals and discover the city through their eyes. We like to understand the living of a foreign country, the culture and learn a bit of the language (it is not always a success but we keep trying !). And mostly avoid touristic paths which are not our cup of tea !

We interested to meet people thinking differently than us, understand their point of view and have a chat while drinking a local beverage and eating local dishes (yes it's all about food, we loooove food).

We also want to share our culture if our hosts want us to do so. We have chocolate and beer in Belgium, but not only. It's also a european country, with all the european institutions in its core and Brussels is a real cosmopolitan city, which is lovely to discover. We hope to give you the will to come visit us at one point.

We love the idea of having friends all around the world, to meet them again during our next trips and keep in touch to plan future adventures together.

Interests

When we are in Belgium, we like to spend time with friends, go out with them, go to the restaurant, to bars or drink a coffe and chat for hours. We love cinema and music (Belgium is the best place for festivals).

When I'm home, I'm also a binge-watcher of documentaries and series and I read a lot. Thomas is more about videogames, Youtube and learning everything he can on the web.

During our trips we enjoy to hike, try new dishes and meet people !
