CURRENT MISSION

I am going on a spontaneous trip with my friend from Rimini to Rome in September. planning a trip to Canada in spring 2016, dreaming about a cycle trip through Europe, trying to get a month off work to walk the Camino del Norte, learn how to surf, live in a different city for a month

ABOUT ME

I am a very sociable person who likes travelling and doing new things (preferably outdoors).
I have done a fair bit of travelling in 2013. In April I started my sabbatical leave and I walked the Camino Frances, went to Andalusia, Marocco, Tarifa for Kitesurfing and stayed for a good month in Barcelona. After that I went to Australia to travel up the East Coast and stopped over in Hong Kong for a few days which was a great city trip!

I am German and have been living in England for over 9 years.
If I am not travelling I love cycling and hiking in the South Downs. I always get lost though if I don't take someone with me who knows the way. Terrible sense of directions... ;)
I studied Spanish a few years ago. My time in Spain gave me the confidence to finally speak it and I am using every opportunity to practise it! I love playing the guitar whenever I get one in my hands. Recently discovered my skills for akkordeon playing too... ;)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to meet people on my journey. I have had quite a few people staying at my place and showed Brighton and London which was a lovely experience. It is nice to show people the beauty of your home!!! :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was in Buenos Aires where I stayed at Marcelo's place (a really nice Brazilian chap). His friendliness and hospitality was a big inspiration.

Intereses

Generally I like being active I suppose. I can entertain myself but it is so much nicer if you do it together with someone if you have the same interest.
I love cycling and anything else outdoors. I have recently joined a kayak club and love being so close to the sea!
I love cooking and can make a nice dish with whatever is left in the fridge... :)
