About Me

Life long summer camp attendee and enthusiast. I graduated from university a couple years ago where I studied theatre production with a focus on costume design and stage management. Currently, I work as the Guest Services Manager at a non-profit camp/conference center. I am also an avid seamstress and have been sewing since childhood. My other interests include basic nerd stuff and adventuring.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking for budget friendly accommodation while on an extended trip through Europe this winter.

I have worked with a large number of J1 students over the years who participate in programs like camp leaders and CCUSA and many of them have recommended couchsurfing to me as great way to have an authentic and finically savvy travel experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've never been good at choosing favorites. There are simply too many wonderful works and artists in the world, but I'll try to name a smattering.

Books/Movies/TV wise: Harry Potter, the collective works of J.R.R Tolkien, The Night Circus, Game of Thrones, Penny Dreadful, Disney movies in general but my favorite is the Emperor's New Groove, Series of Unfortunate Events, anything by Neil Gaiman, and much much more besides.

Music wise: If I'm being honest, I never grew out of my mid 2000's emo/alternative phase. In addition, however, I like classic rock, alternative, and 90's pop. I would love to see Of Monsters and Men play live. I'm fairly eclectic with my music tastes, but I can't say that I've ever been a fan of country.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Nova Scotia, Canada for 4 years while attending University.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: As an experienced seamstress, I am great for helping with basic mending and alterations. I am also an accomplished knitter.

Learn: Anything! I love learning new things.
