I am a recent college graduate with a concentration in oil painting. I live in Fort Collins, CO which is a really fun town that offers so many outdoor activities, like hiking, biking and swimming. I keep my time occupied with those when I'm not serving or interning for a non-profit in town.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am excited to start some solo traveling this fall and thought joining Couchsurfing would be the perfect way to meet and connect with strangers in cities I'm interested in visiting.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book right now is East of Eden by Steinbeck. I'm reading The Sound and the Fury now by Faulkner and kind of struggling with it. Right now I can't stop listening to Frank's new album, Blonde. I also really love Joanna Newsom! She is a harpist and vocalist and my favorite musician in this world. I don't watch too many movies and I honestly don't think I've seen one in a couple of months but if I'm feeling angsty, I tell people my favorite move is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have so many things I want to learn! I want to learn how to french braid, how to crochet, how to build a chicken coop, how to can your own food, how to make secret family recipes. I want to learn how to white water kayak, how to dance, how to make a fire without lighters or matches and a lot more!

I can teach people the basics of oil painting, how to make a bomb homemade pesto and hummus, how best to jump off a cliff, how to take 6 carbombs in a row, uhhh probably more too but that's all I can think of right now!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook and clean! I'm also pretty good at making wildflower arrangements. I can share my positive and excitable energy. And I'm decent at telling funny stories and making people laugh.
