Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Losing my bearings one country at a time. To take the plunge and say yes more often. Surprise myself with things I never thought I'd do. Be contrary. To walk the corners of the Earth and make memories and friends all along the way.
ABOUT ME
Carolyn may seem odd a times, but mostly just absent-minded due to her overactive imagination. She will occasionally lose fights with inanimate objects. She self-describes as a forced extrovert still clinging onto the vestiges of wallflowerhood at the least convenient times.
Her eyes widen at the mention of such topics as: Animal autotrophs and other biology-related topics; Doctor Who; Trivia and games nights; Where to purchase baking ingredients; Debating; Halloween or other opportunities for costumes.
For some reason she decided to write this entirely in first person, but chose Morgan Freeman as her narrator so you now have to read it all again in his voice.
PHILOSOPHY
When in doubt, take a left.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am friends with many couchsurfers and have met many people from around the world in this manner.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Insofar I've borrowed couchsurfers of my friends - when I had time I took them on tours of Seoul and different places of interest as I saw fit.
I would like to host and meet new people when I have a more permanent settlement. I would also love to be hosted in different countries that I travel to for a more traveler-friendly, less touristy experience.
Interests
I like to occupy my time - either with new projects or improve upon existing skills I have acquired. I love culinary adventures, finding myself lost in a forest of books, listening to music while lying on the floor, learning random skills, traveling, daring myself to say "yes" more often.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I trekked 7 days through the Annapurna Sanctuary Trail in the Himalayas in Nepal. It took four days to reach the summit, at 6 to 8 hours of hiking a day. At 4130m up, I saw the mountains lit by a nearly full moon at midnight, and watched as the sunrise bathed the peaks in new colours. Despite the muted chatter and camera shutters, everyone standing dwarfed by those behemoths shared in a collective reverence. I promised myself I'd see it again one day.
Teach, Learn, Share
Everyone has a story to tell, but I also like to gift them - I share birthmark stories with people I meet. Some say a birthmark is an indication of how you died in your past life. I gift people their stories so that they may also continue the outward ripple of sharing them and creating more for others.
